Come along and paint a masterpiece, make a craft and colour a picture all for one price! This workshop is based on the theme of the garden and so materials will be provided to paint your own imagined garden picture, make a paper windmill and there will be a choice of themed colouring sheets too! 1 of each for every paying participant. Please note there is a free car park and some roadside parking but do not block nearby residents. Suitable for ages 4-11 children must be accompanied by an adult. £10 per child for all 3 activities.

This workshop is based on the theme of Fairy Tales and so materials will be provided to paint your own magic wand, make a golden crown fit for a King, Queen or other fairy tale character and there will be a choice of themed colouring sheets too! 1 of each for every paying participant. This is a four week course running each Wednesday from 12.30pm-3.00pm at Wilshaw Village Hall. Learn to draw and print from nature with Louise, who will teach you how to look at and sketch the nature surrounding the hall, and how to work from photographs including your mobile phone. These drawings and Louise's artwork will help shape two different prints for you to take home in weeks 2 and 4: mono-printing and block printing. This course will guide you step by step and is suitable for beginners and people who are already creative/artistic or enjoy making visual art. Louise's style is relaxed and friendly, please get in touch of you have any questions. This course is suitable for ages 12 upwards, under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. All art equipment will be provided, please bring an apron.

Explore the luminous colours of a Tiffany-style stained glass landscape while discovering the calming craft of silk painting. This hands-on workshop shows you how to achieve soft, watercolour-like effects using silk paints across two images created by artist Louise Grassby, drawing on early 20th-century Tiffany designs. Perfect for beginners and returners alike. You’ll paint one small design for an A6 card and one larger 7” x 5” piece, bringing both to life with a vibrant colour palette. Each finished piece is yours to take home, complete with a mountboard frame for a polished look. Led by local artist Louise Grassby, who has years of teaching experience, this workshop is designed to make silk painting accessible and enjoyable. All materials are included—just bring your enthusiasm (and an apron). Suitable for adults but also 12 years and upwards (under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult).

Illuminated Lettering Workshop. Create your own illuminated letter at Bagshaw Museum with pen and ink. Take inspiration from nature in the museum grounds and learn how to design a beautiful illuminated letter in pen and ink – just like those found in historic storybooks and manuscripts. Perfect for your journal, sketchbook, or to frame at home. Suitable for beginners and those who are more experienced. Ages 12 upwards, under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.
